Kirk in a seldom worn tie. - Kirk

Kirk is a graduate from the University of Mary Washington, from which he received a BA in Political Science. However, his interests go beyond those encompassed within the political arena.

He is an avid musician and audiophile. In the past he has experimented with punk, hip-hop, alt-country and is currently indulging himself in what most would deem to be an unholy amount of techno. He has also been known to throw himself headlong into the world of theatre, having played Robert in Proof and John Proctor in The Crucible.

In his off time Kirk has written several independent short films and plays.

More than anything, he considers himself to be a student of everyday life. He enjoys meeting strangers on aimless road trips and letting the world unfold around him. Most of the inspiration for his writing has come from travel and encountering new people. Over the past few years, his love of travel and adventure has led him to develop a small series of travelogues that his is hoping to put into print.

He drinks his coffee black.
